The Mountain Political Action Committee must meet again. This time, they have to confront a small local Tea Party group…and some of the characters just might be related.
Come enjoy a beer and humor based on self-deprecating references to Asheville, the county and even a surprise guest appearance from a local politician giving us an update on the Vance Monument.
In an age of polarized divisiveness, can these two groups find common ground? Come to the Magnetic Theatre and find out.
The Magnetic Theatre is thrilled to be producing this companion play to Mountain Political Action Committee, both written by local playwright Honor Moor. Audiences will be sure to relate to this local humor, even if they aren’t Asheville natives.
Synopsis: The Mountain Political Action Committee has to meet again to protect Asheville — In the Nick of Time! This group of local native Democrats will have to take matters into their own hands in order to stop threats of facism. Per usual, their mountain, southern, un-orthodox ways of handling a tough situation is the only way to stop it from happening. Fasten your seatbelt and enjoy the hilarity of the true south that is often hidden in plain sight in Asheville. Run, don’t walk, and get your ticket for what is becoming a local favorite!
In The Nick Of Time – Mountain Political Action Committee Meets Again runs Nov. 1-24 at The Magnetic Theatre, located at 375 Depot St. in the River Arts District. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for General Admission and $10 for students. All tickets are subject to a $3 ticketing fee. For more information, please visit www.themagnetictheatre.org.
