VIRTUAL — Pursue “Purely Pastel,” showcasing the artwork by pastel artists from the Appalachian region, in an online exhibit by the Appalachian Pastel Society.

The exhibit can be viewed at through August, and if you see one you like, you’re in luck. The pastel paintings are for sale by the artists.

The Appalachian Pastel Society was formed in 2006 to promote and elevate the art of pastel painting through education, exhibition opportunities, and other member events. Centered in Western North Carolina, the organization serves 132 members residing in the Appalachian region including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and other states. Its members have received national and international recognition.
