HENDERONSVILLE — Local artists have recreated famous masterpieces — but with a clever twist — in the exhibit Fabulous Fakes now on display at The Center for Art & Entertainment in Hendersonville.
Catch the exhibit before May 24.
Many of the pieces are paradoies, replicating the works of the masters almost stroke for stroke except for a hidden humorous twist. The alternate artistic realities feature Picasso’s “Jacqueline” enjoying a cocktail or Renoir’s “Girl Reading” done in pastel instead of oil.
The exhibit is hosted the Art League of Henderson County. All artworks are for sale.
If you can’t impress your friends with an original Renoir, here’s your opportunity to find the next best thing.
