WAYNESVILLE — Come dressed in your best 1920s attire and experience the jazzy energy of George Gershwin at Haywood Arts Regional with S’Wonderful: The Music and Life of George Gershwin, running for one more weekend.
This lively musical takes place in the home of George and Ira Gershwin with a party full of unbelievable singers and dancers.
“S’Wonderful is such a great opener after what the world has gone through,” says Candice Dickinson, Managing Director at HART. “This musical is a non-stop party, with some of the most talented singers and dancers we’ve had on our stage. It’s a celebration, it’s the roaring 20’s, and it seems like exactly what we all need.”
You’ll hear all of your Gershwin favorites such as “Nice Work If You Can Get It,” “Someone To Watch Over Me,” “Strike Up The Band,” “Rhapsody In Blue,” “S’Wonderful,” and many more.
S'Wonderful features the music of George Gershwin performed by John Crawley and his band, which met raves reviews in HART’s 2019 production of Stardust. Glenn Arnette directs this star studded cast of WNC’s finest opera singers, folk singers, tap and ballroom dancers and actors.
