WAYNESVILLE — Don't miss the final weekend of the live outdoor theatrical performance of Billy Goat Gruf July 2-4 at Haywood Arts Regional Theater.
The one-act musical tells a tale of adventure, believing in yourself, and not judging others. Actors play instruments — including fiddle, stand-up bass, auto-harp, ukulele, djemb and guitar — create sound effects and scenery, and sing soaring melodies that fill the HART outdoor amphitheatre.
Billy Goat Gruf will have matinee performances at 10 a.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday, and 4 p.m. Sunday, July 2-4. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for kids and students. All tickets will be sold at the door.
Play goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or picnic, but HART will also have chairs available and will be offering their usual concessions.
The show is HART’s first outdoor musical, which was planned as part of a gradual re-entry into live theater during 2021.
