WAYNESVILLE — Bring your dancing shoes and a chair for an evening of live music and street festivities on Main Street in downtown Waynesville from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, May 29.
The street will be blocked off to cars for the Memorial Day weekend tradition, with live music by the The Rewind House Band (formerly the 96.5 Band) playing hits from the '50s-'80s.
"Of all the wonderful gigs we get to play, the Waynesville block parties Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends are the two shows we most look forward to performing," said Pat Ryan, bassist for the Rewind House Band. "The connection with the audience was established after the first couple of notes and has been there ever since.
The Waynesville Brass Band will be playing as well, and children's activities will be located up and down the street, as well.
