The community is invited to watch for Santa Claus as he travels through Waynesville on Monday, Dec. 7.

A float with Santa on his sleigh will make its way down Russ Avenue starting at 6 p.m., waving to children and families on the sidelines.

Santa’s route will continue by turning left on Dellwood Road then right on Smathers Street onto Sulphur Springs Road. Then Santa will turn left on Hazelwood Avenue, turn right on Virginia Avenue, turn right on South Main Street.

Santa will then pass the shopping center on the right, turn left on Hendrix Street, then turn left on Allen’s Creek Road. Santa will then turn right on South Main Street and head to Downtown Waynesville, aka the North (Pole) Main Street.

Santa’s Sleigh will be led by a prancing reindeer with lights — a Waynesville Police Car, followed by a Waynesville fire truck.

There are many areas where folks can stand or remain in a parked car, so choose your spot on the route to see Santa, and make sure to wear a mask.
