Celebrate Christmas in Sylva with a weekend of holiday fun

Come celebrate Christmas in Sylva with a holiday weekend celebration lasting three days, Nov. 29-Dec. 1.

The event starts with the official tree lighting and concert on the historical courthouse steps Friday night.

Storefronts on Main and Mill Streets will be done up for Christmas and open for holiday shopping. Santa will make an early visit Saturday for photos. A Winter Market on Main Street Saturday afternoon will feature local crafters and food. Live music will add a festive touch to the Market.

The Sylva Christmas Parade on Sunday is the highlight of the weekend. Starting at the courthouse, the parade goes down Main Street. Shops will be open for some holiday shopping. Santa’s official arrival comes at the end of the parade.
