The 16th annual Montford Music & Arts Festival is Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Montford Avenue in Asheville.

The historic festival features an entertainment stage, artist and vendor booths and a central food court all on one tree-lined street where trolley’s traveled years ago.

Come meet 100 artist and craft persons featuring their amazing creations. Buy plants for your spring gardening from local nurseries. Feast on regional and international food from food trucks and vendors and don't miss the Caribbean food by Nine Mile and Italian cuisine from Chiesa.

The festival is known for its diversity of music playing all day long, high-quality craft and art vendors, unique and historic architecture and, of course, the food. Over 7,000 people per year have attended previous Montford festivals.

Every hour a new band will take the spotlight on a centrally located stage and between sets expect a visit from the Chinese Dragon who will lead an impromptu parade past the artisans’ and crafters' booths lining Montford Avenue.
