The inaugural Aura Home Motorcycle Poker Run will be held on Saturday, May 18 that will start and end in the Waynesville Plaza parking lot.
The run will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and proceeds will benefit Aura Home for Women Vets. Participants will get to enjoy a 62.8 mile motorcycle ride through the Blue Ridge Parkway, through Cruso and will be welcomed back at the Waynesville plaza with raffles, prizes and poker games. Plus plebty of food.
Registration is $15 per bike. Registration includes one door prize, one poker hand, one raffle ticket and a poker run map. Extra hands are available for $10.
All riders must have driver's license, motorcycle club endorsement, proof of insurance and sign waiver on the day of the poker run. The ride begins at 10 a.m. and all bikes should return around 2:30 p.m. The raffle starts at 3 p.m.
Your registration, donations and participation funds will benefit the Aura Home for Women Vets.
Aura Home reaches out to Women Veterans seeking assistance with housing and is a resource for homeless prevention. The organization also provides temporary housing and access to services to facilitate the individual's stabilization for movement to permanent housing. In addition, Aura Home offers information and assistance to apply for Veteran's Affairs benefits with guidance of a certified Veteran Service Officer or Veterans Affairs staff.
