Enjoy holiday ice skating in Hendersonville

Bring the family to an exciting activity happening this holiday season in Downtown Hendersonville. Lace up your skates and take to the iceless skating rink located at the Visitor Center at 201 South Main Street. The rink opens Wednesday, December 18 and runs through Wednesday, January 1.

The synthetic surface is made from special polymers that does not require liquid, so it can be enjoyed year-round in any temperature. Beginners can learn to skate more easily on the artificial ice since it requires a little bit less balance than refrigerated ice.

You can also try your hand at the Olympic sport of curling. Curling involves players sliding stones on the ice towards a target. Enjoy roasting marshmallows for a tasty s’more, or playing a game of corn hole, checkers, or Jenga with your friends.

Price of admission is Adults $10, Children ages 10 & under $5 (payment by cash or check only). Group rates for 10 or more are available, by reservation only, call for times. Admission price includes skate rental.

The rink is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Special hours on Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., closed on Christmas Day and open New Year’s Day from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Weather permitting.
