Billy Jonas Band

The Billy Jonas Band will bring their award-winning, creative, interactive and soul-inspiring family show to The White Horse, 105 Montreat Rd., Black Mountain, NC on Sunday Aug. 11 at 3 p.m.

When the Billy Jonas Band hits the stage it’s a musical conversation and a sonic celebration, because at a Billy Jonas show, the ensemble is… everyone. The band will be presenting new songs that feature African polyrhythms, and Japanese Taiko-style warrior drumming. They also feature songs from their most recent family CD and Parents Choice Gold Award winner “Build it Back Again,” as well as old favorites enjoyed by all ages.

Billy Jonas is one of those rare performers who can engage and delight both young and adult audiences. It's a "neo-tribal hootenanny" — original "voice and percussion"-based songs with a generous dose of audience participation. The music mixes conventional instruments (guitar, bass, marimba) with homemade creations (using buckets and barrels, keys and cans, bells and body percussion). The band tailors their song selection and its presentation to uniquely suit each audience. It is spirited, straightforward music that is accessible to anyone and everyone, regardless of age or cultural background. The big-tent festival quality of the Billy Jonas Band’s music facilitates connection and community while fostering inspiration and, most importantly... FUN.

The Billy Jonas Band features guitarist / vocalist / industrial re-percussionist Billy Jonas, Ashley Jo Farmer (vocals, re-percussion) and Sherman Hoover (bass, marimba,re-percussion, vocals)!
