Camps

The North Carolina Arboretum offers weekly camps for kids through the summer and registration is now open. Rated one of the best nature camps in Western North Carolina, they run from June 10 – Aug. 16.

Open to Pre-K children through rising 8th-grade students, the Arboretum's Discovery Camp programs are based on the philosophy that young people benefit from experiences in the outdoors. As part of the camp, your child will experience a sense of adventure and wonder in the outdoors, generate an enthusiasm for exploration in the natural world and have a better appreciation for environmental awareness, stewardship and conservation.

Registration is now open for the 2019 summer camp season. Be sure to secure your spot now as camps tend to fill up quickly. And, don't forget, Arboretum members receive discounts on all camps.

For more information about the Discovery Camp program, contact Michelle Pearce, Youth Education Coordinator, at 665-2492 ext. 624, or see www.ncarboretum.org/education-programs/discovery-camp.
