Come one, come all to the first open house of the Smoky Mountain Model Railroad Club and its new larger layout, which has been in the making for two years. 

The owners have vacated the old location off Russ Ave to make way for Publix and have been rebuilding and the railroad club is now stationed at Buffalo Creek Vacations in Clyde.

The new facility is a replica of a period railroad station with three refurbished real Cabooses and a herd of American Bison, some llamas, alpacas, and other animals for the guests to enjoy.

The club is hosting are its first Open House on Sunday Jan. 27 from 2-4 p.m. with a snow/rain date of the following Sunday, Feb. 3.

Everyone of all ages invited to see a spectacular 'Lionel type’ 3 rail O gauge model train layout with mountains, stations, industries, a city, a circus, and many other visual delights.

Photos welcome and a $5 donation is suggested for admission with small accompanied children free.

The open house will be located at Trinity Buffalo Ranch located at 408 Harriet Lane in Clyde.
