The Nature Center now has a behind the scenes tour just for youth as well called the Junior Wild Walks at the WNC NatureCenter.
 
These tours are the perfect experience for every animal and nature-loving child. Kids will have a chance to be a "zookeeper in training" while experiencing special animal encounters and fun educational moments.
 
Junior Wild Walks are geared toward younger children and their parents. Tickets must be purchased in advance online, by phone, or in person at the Friends Membership office at the WNC NatureCenter. Costs: $10 per child, $18 per adult non-member, $12 per adult member.
 
Tour areas are subject to change depending on animal availability, weather, and other circumstances.Preregistration and prepayment is required to reserve one of the limited spaces.Children must be accompanied by an adult. The tour will be held rain or shine; please come prepared to do a bit of walking outdoors in whatever the weather may be (raincoats and umbrellas are welcome!).
 
The next Junior Wild Walk will take place on Saturday, July 13 from noon-1 p.m.  Photographs are not allowed in behind-the-scenes areas. Cancellations must be made one week prior. If cancelling less than a week in advance, no refund will be issued.
