BRYSON CITY — The annual Freedom Fest festival will take over downtown Bryson City on Saturday, July 3, capped off by a fireworks show — making it possible to turn your weekend into a two-day doubler header of fireworks and revelry.
A street fair in downtown Bryson City starts at 10 a.m. July 3, with arts, crafts, food and live music throughout the day.
Food vendors will be serving up funnel cakes, shaved ice, Philly cheese-steaks, BBQ, kettle corn and other fair-food classics. Crafts vendors include pottery, wood-working, photography and art, jewelry, stained glass and more.
A kid’s activity area at Riverfront Park will have a bouncey hous, slide, monster truck combo, and 30-foot obstacle course, with $5 wristband for all-day play.
Live music will kick off at Railroad Square beginning at 6 p.m. with Kevin Daniel playing Southern rock and blues, followed at 8 p.m. by The River Rats.
The fireworks will be shot off at 10 p.m. Click here for a map of firework viewing locations.
