The WNC Career Expo will be a hybrid event this Spring, with three days of virtual expos and an outside in-person event with 40 employers.
The outdoor, in-person expo will be held April 15, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Rabbit Rabbit (75 Coxe Ave in downtown Asheville). The event is limited to 40 employers on a first-come, first-serve basis.
After 40 employers, we will open a waitlist with the possibility of adding another in-person day for additional employers. The event will require masks, there will be social distancing throughout the event and there will be COVID-19 screening for attendees, including temperature checks.
The virtual career expos will be held April 14-16 and will allow job seekers to meet with employers live online via chat or email and access the event from any device anywhere that has internet service. Employers can design virtual booths, with branding and logos, post job openings, link to company videos, promote the business, get candidate profiles and resumes and get analytics on the event.
The expos, hosted by the Chamber in partnership with the Mountain Area Workforce Development Board, will connect area employers with talented workers.
