Apple crumble

Maple syrup makes this subtle twist on a fall classic an instant crowd pleaser.

  • 7 Cortland apples,
  • peeled and diced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground
  • cinnamon


  • 2 cups quick-cook
  • rolled oats
  • 1-1/2 cups
  • all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup softened butter


Preheat the oven to 350 °F and butter a 9x13-inch baking dish.

In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the filling and transfer to the baking dish.

In another bowl, combine all the ingredients for the crumble topping.

Cover the apple mixture with the crumble topping, taking care to cover completely.

Bake for 45 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown. Let cool, then serve and enjoy.
