Archetype Brewing will hold a holiday pop-up market focusing on ‘experiential gifts’ from 1 – 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at its Downtown Asheville Tap Lounge and Venue.
Recognizing the shift in gift-giving trends in recent years, Archetype’s Holiday Market will include the opportunity to choose from a variety of experiential gifts, including bottle club memberships, museum passes and memberships, and self-care appointments. In addition to the experiences, the team at Archetype carefully selected vendors to represent a large variety of local businesses with quality products such as locally-made jewelry, apparel, selfcare products, baked goods, plants, stationary, science toys, tea, coffee, pottery, aromatherapy and a variety of art.
Among the vendors featured at the market are: 3Mountain Tea, which is now on tap at both of the brewery’s taprooms, Sun Sparrow Metalsmithing, Moonlight Makers (local creators of very witty apparel and accessories and responsible for “This is How we Brew it” swag), Brews & Jewels, Jen Toledo, Wild Krafted Kitchen, James Yuan Glass Art, West End Bakery, Opie Way accessories, Etta + Odie - visual artists, Little Joes Woodshed, Divine & Knotty (dream catchers and plants), Sinclair Crafting (stained glass), Blooms on Tap (offering a wreath-making workshop and beautiful flowers and candles), A Quartzy Life (stationery), Asheville Museum of Science and Asheville Art Museum, Rose Bud Arts pottery, Commensa Coffee Club, Anna Lauren Long (aromatherapy) and Asheville Salt Cave.
The market will also feature a special pop-up by Sweet Cheesus, making warm comfort food for visitors all day.
Live music from Leo Johnson will accompany the shopping experience from 4 – 6 p.m.
"The space at Archetype's Tap Lounge + Venue provides the perfect ambiance for a memorable holiday shopping experience and invites our guests and vendors to preview our rentable event venue,” said Nicolette Baglio, Archetype Brewing events and hospitality. “We're very excited.”
Proceeds of a raffle and gift wrapping during the event will go to OpenDoors of Asheville.
"OpenDoors is enormously grateful for Archetype’s investment in our students,” said Jennifer Langdon Ramming, executive director, OpenDoors of Asheville. “It’s no small task for local families to break the cycle of poverty, so OpenDoors supports students from elementary school all the way To and Through college, so they can then, in turn, invest in themselves, and this deeply impacts generations to come. Thank you for strengthening our community.”
“I’m excited to be telling market shoppers about our 2020 Bottle Club memberships — the perfect holiday gift for a loved one who has a taste for elevated beers like the ones we offer with our barrel program,” said Sally Tanner, marketing director, Archetype Brewing.
Archetype Brewing was founded in 2017, serving American and Belgian-style beers, with a focus on creating complex, mindful, living beer. Offering a wide range of brews, there’s a beer for everyone, from straight forward lagers to intricate barrel-aged saisons. The downtown Archetype Tap Lounge + Venue offers an intimate, elevated space for customers to enjoy Archetype beer, a selection of wines and an event space available for small or large groups.
