To celebrate Labor Day weekend, and the ability to once again take bookings for private events, the Archetype Brewing downtown location at 174 Broadway St., Asheville, is hosting an open-to-the-public Tap Lounge + Venue Labor Day pop up party from 1 – 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5 – 6.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, restrictions have prevented Archetype's downtown location from being able to re-open under phase 2. It has been open only for to-go orders of beer from 4-6 p.m. Fridays.
The Archetype team is pleased to announce its ability to once again book and host private events as a venue. To kick it off, Archetype is hosting an open-to-the-public pop-up party Sept. 5 and 6 at the downtown taproom.
“We've been overwhelmed with the positive response and support of our neighborhood — particularly 5 Points, Chestnut Hills, and Montford — for our Friday to-go sales,” said Brad Casanova, Archetype founder. “It’s broken our hearts every week to keep having to reply ‘not yet, I’m afraid,’ to the repeated excitedly anxious customer question ‘are you able to reopen yet?,’ and so this is an exciting weekend to welcome our fans back to celebrate with us.”
The tap wall will boast several favorites: Original Blonde Belgian Blonde, Unruly Mystic Coffee Porter, Commitment Phobia IPA, Chuffed to Bits English Dark Mild on nitro, and Shoulder Devil Double IPA.
All the packaged offerings including The Sage Belgian Dark Strong Ale; Cowboy Poet American Lager, Timely Surrender Saison, Walk the Earth No. 5 Saison and Hex Barrel-Aged Saison will be available to-go or to enjoy in-house.
Archetype Brewing has gained a reputation at 265 Haywood Rd., its West Asheville location, for a very clean and safe experience with all rules being enforced. Customers at the Tap Lounge + Venue this weekend can look forward to a similarly pleasant and relaxing experience.
“Many brides and party planners are scrambling for venues as they’re receiving cancellations on previously reserved spots for their weddings and other small special events,’ said Carrie-Ann Bentham, events. “The Archetype Tap Lounge + Venue can now welcome these events with an abundance of proven, cautious systems in place to keep guests and staff safe. Keeping the venue closed to the public temporarily, and remaining flexible on the full buy-out options, we’ve found a way to change our business model to accommodate those needs in the current market.”
