Beer

Among the 5+ choices is Sierra Nevada’s 5th annual Oktoberfest collaboration beer, a partnership with Germany’s 200-year-old Bitburger Brewery. Sierra Nevada brewed Oktoberfest with Bitburger’s custom yeast and secret hop blend called Siegelhopfen, meaning “Sealed Hops” — two house ingredients never shared outside their walls until now. It’s a festbier with rich amber color and smooth malty flavor.

Food

Included with the admission ticket is a contemporary German feast, available from 5 - 8 p.m., created by the Sierra Nevada TaproomOther snacks that require additional beer/snack tickets (e.g., soft pretzels and dessert) have a 10 p.m. cutoff.

Music

Turkuaz: Energetic splashes of funk, alternative, rock, R&B, and psychedelia color the music of Turkuaz. Balancing male-female harmonies, strutting guitars, wild horn arrangements, and interminable grooves, this spirit takes shape in the color donned by each respective member on stage nightly via larger-than-life performances.

The Business: The Business is an experience, specifically designed to take audiences to a party fantasy land. Professionalism, unparalleled musical talent, classic songs and engaging performances all work together to deliver on that purpose.

The Polka Brothers: The Polka Brothers are a four-man band of young polka lovers, out to spread the joy of polka, one wild party at a time. They’re a well-oiled polka machine, boasting a fearless repertoire that includes classic polka favorites, pop and rock gone polka (the likes of Aerosmith, Weezer, Lady Gaga, and The Rolling Stones), and originals.

Glass blowing demonstrations

Hot Glass Academy and Asheville Area Arts Council are back at it with a mobile glassblowing studio at the festival for live demonstrations from local artists. Enjoy watching glassblowers creating works. Items will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Asheville Area Arts Council.

Contests

‘Flash Your Stache’ and Chicken Dance contests return. Start growing that Oktoberfest mustache today and brush up on your dancing skills for chances to win tickets to Oktoberfest 2020.
