Good things come in small packages — and Highland is hosting a dinner featuring its small batch brews and small plate tapas from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, in Highland’s Barrel Room.
This dinner will be filled with delicious small tapas-style bites from Chef Dano Holcomb, of Root Down catering, and small batch beers from Highland.
Highland’s R&D brewing manager, Shane Cummings, and sensory expert, Megan Rayfield, will also be on hand to help guide guests through the beers and pairing experience.
Menu and pairings are:
Altitude Change Double IPA (4 oz)
Amuse Bouche of Rabbit Rillette and Pickles on Crostini
Mountain Mama Hefeweizen (10oz)
Shrimp Maison in White Remoulade, Mint, and Tomato
Hellbender Smoked Czech Lager (10 oz)
Brisket, Hoe Cake, Cherry-smoked Beef, Maque Choux Flapjack, Mirliton Relish, and Smoked Corn Sauce
Double Springs Saison (10 oz)
Peach Clafoutis, South Carolina Peaches, Baked Custard, and Sugar Dust
Substitutions are not available.
Table seating is limited and sold in seats of 2, 4, 6 and 8. Dinner will include 3 10 oz. beers and 1 welcome 4 oz. beer per seat at your table. Additional beer can be purchased with a credit card or cash at the bar. This event is 21+ only, no exceptions. Attendees must be able to present a valid ID. Tickets are non-refundable.
