WAYNESVILLE — The Waynesville Charity Horse Show is underway at the Smoky Mountain Event Center, with nearly 300 riders competing in dozens of events over the three-day run from July 15-17.

Proceeds from the horse show will go to Haywood County Meals on Wheels. The last charity horse show raised $15,000 for Meals on Wheelsin 2019 and $14,000 in 2018.

Each day of the show, riders will compete in 25 different classes for a shot at $25,000 in prize money. There are numerous classes for kids and teens. The entry fee for riders is $45 per class for most classes.
