Seed Library of Waynesville drawer

WAYNESVILLE — A gardener exchange to swap starter plants is the latest off-shoot of the seed library — a repository for seeds that lives in the old card catalog cabinet of the Waynesville library.

The starter plant swap will be held from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, May 13, in the parking lot of the Waynesville library. Anyone with vegetable, herb or flower starts is welcome.

Gardeners can peruse the seed lending library anytime during regular library hours. Library card holders can check out up to 10 free seed packets containing seeds saved, dried and deposited into the library by other gardeners.
