Greybeard Mountain

Join Parkway rangers at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 12 for a moderate, 2-mile round-trip hike from Graybeard Mountain Overlook.

As hikers head north on the trail, participants will experience different forest types, vegetation change, and cooler temperatures with the elevation increase. Here hikers will learn about the essentials of what to bring, what to leave behind, and how to use what you have to ensure a safe and successful backpacking adventure.

Meet at the Graybeard Mountain overlook at Milepost 363.4, less than a mile north of the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center. Bring water, wear good walking shoes, and be prepared for changeable weather.
