Cataloochee Ski Area is officially open for the season and is filled with th3 huslte and bustle of all the snow bunnies.

Cataloochee has three aerial lifts spinning from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with skiing and riding on five trails. Trails open include Rock Island Run, Lower Omigosh, Rabbit Hill, Easy Way, and Beginner’s Luck.

Cataloochee offers opportunities for all skill levels. There are 18 slopes of various skills levels and offers instruction for all ages and abilities, including a Kidz Ski & Ride Center featuring its CAT Trackers program for kids ages 4-12.

Those who prefer to sit and slide will want to visit Cataloochee’s premier snow tubing park, Tube World, located on Soco Road, in Maggie Valley.

With 100% snowmaking on 18 slopes and trails including the Cat Cage Terrain Park, 3 aerial lifts and 2 moving carpet lifts, and over 4,000 sets of snowsports equipment, the Cataloochee experience offers something everyone.

Lift ticket pricing ranges from $45 weekdays to $73 weekends at Cataloochee. Ski and snowboard equipment can be rented, and prices range from $28 for juniors to $33 on adults for either skis or snowboards for any session.

Outer gear rentals such as overall bibs and jackets and accessories can be found either at Cataloochee Ski & Sports Shop in Maggie Valley or on the mountain at The Shop at Cataloochee. Bib and jacket rentals are available for a $10 per piece.
